How are online furniture purchases delivered?

Certain items of furniture are delivered by DHL Supply Chain.

These items are delivered to the Republic of Ireland addresses only. A delivery fee of €45 (Dublin) or €65 for the rest of the Republic of Ireland will automatically be added to your basket during the checkout process.

How much does furniture delivery cost?

  • County Dublin €45 per delivery
  • All other counties €65 per delivery

All furniture orders are delivered by our 3rd party delivery service partner - DHL Supply Chain.

Where can furniture be delivered to?

Certain larger items of furniture are only available for delivery to addresses in the Republic of Ireland.

How long does delivery take?

Deliveries will be completed by DHL Supply Chain within 3-5 working days after your order has been dispatched.

You will receive an email from us to advise when your order has been dispatched.

Will the delivery team contact me by phone?

The DHL Supply Chain delivery team will contact you by phone, one day before your scheduled delivery date and then one hour before the actual delivery.

Can I order furniture online and collect it from a store?

Unfortunately, we are unable to deliver online furniture orders to a store.

How much does it cost to return an item of furniture?

The cost of returning an item of furniture to our online store via DHL Supply Chain are as follows:

County Dublin       €22.50 per collection
All other counties  €32.50 per collection

Can I return my online furniture order to a store?

Unfortunately, items delivered by DHL Supply Chain would need to be collected and returned by them to our online store.

What size/dimensions are items of furniture?

Before placing an order we recommend that you check the dimensions of the item you plan to order and compare against your home's internal and external access points, including gates, doors, corridors, stairs and corners to ensure that the item of furniture will fit before placing an order.

Can exchange an item of furniture ordered online?

Unfortunately, furniture items cannot be exchanged.

Can I get the furniture delivered to the room of my choice?

Upon arrival, the delivery team will assess access points and carry out a risk assessment. Any delivery deemed as high risk either to the goods or property will require a damage waiver to be signed.

If the items cannot be delivered due to access issues then a return delivery fee will need to be paid. These costs are as follows:

County Dublin      €22.50 per collection
All other counties  €32.50 per collection

Will the delivery team unpack & assemble furniture for me?

We are sorry but the unpacking and assembly of furniture is not completed by the delivery company.

What happens if I miss my delivery slot?

If you miss your delivery slot, DHL Supply Chain will call to confirm a new delivery time with you. Any subsequent missed delivery slots will require you to pay a new delivery charge.

What if my furniture is damaged?

Any damage to a delivered item would need to be reported within 24 hours of delivery. It is important that you or the authorised person inspect each item thoroughly upon delivery. Dunnes Stores are not liable for any damage to the delivered item which is not reported within 24 hours of delivery
