Always Here For Our Customers

Your Safety is Everything

Social Distancing

Our stores have a social distancing programme in place. Please remember to keep 2 metres distance at all times.

Social distancing is important to help slow the spread of coronavirus. It does this by minimising contact between potentially infected individuals and healthy individuals

Let’s all work together to keep each other safe.

Care For Our Elderly

Our stores have designated shopping times for the elderly (70+) and their carers and for customers who are medically vulnerable between 11am and 1pm daily.

We have designated checkouts and dedicated staff during these hours to help with their shopping.

We ask that other customers avoid coming to our stores between 11am and 1pm and to shop at other times of the day. Thank you for your understanding.

Wash Your Hands.

Wash your hands well and often to avoid contamination. You can help to stop the spread of bacteria and viruses that cause infection by simply cleaning your hands. Use soap and water or alcohol hand rub to clean your hands regularly.

Having clean hands is the best way to stop the spread of harmful germs.

Use Cards or Contactless.

Please try and use contactless or card payments where possible, as we’re trying to reduce physical contact at cash registers. The contactless limit has been raised by banks in the Republic of Ireland to €50 to assist with this. We want to provide the best possible health and safety environment for both our customers and our staff.

Thank you for your understanding.

Avoid Close Contact.

We ask that you limit unnecessary social contact as much as possible, as we want to help keep customers and store teams safe while they shop and queue.

Let’s all work together to keep each other safe.

Ask Our Staff.

If you need any help or assistance during your shop, please ask one of our staff.

We will continue to innovate and find solutions to keep your shopping environment safe.

Our wish is to always be here for our customers, and to work together to overcome these difficult times.

Cover When You Cough.

To stop the spread of germs please cover your mouth and nose with a tissue or sleeve when coughing or sneezing, and discard the used tissue. These steps will help prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Increased Sanitation.

  • In addition to our standard cleaning programme, each store has a “cleaning station” where customers can avail of anti-bacterial spray to wipe down their own trollies or basket handles if they so wish.
  • We have made gloves and masks available for our staff to wear. We offer this choice because some people feel safer wearing gloves. However, we continue to recommend the HSE guidelines of hand washing every 30 minutes as one of the most important measures in stopping the spread of the Covid 19 Coronavirus.
  • A comprehensive social distancing programme has been rolled out in all stores. This has been designed to make it easy for customers to maintain the advised distance.
  • Protective plastic screens are installed in stores at belted checkouts and kiosks
  • Hand sanitizer is available in all of our stores for customers and store teams.

Since the outbreak of Covid 19 Coronavirus, Dunnes Stores has been in regular contact with the HSE, using their signage throughout our stores to reinforce behaviours to keep everyone safe. We continue to take all our guidance relating to Covid 19 Coronavirus from this trusted and expert source.
