Fri, 16th of June

Making your own tea blend is both easy and gratifying. Different herbs can have different effects on your mood and you can alter the flavour according to your own personal taste and needs. This particular blend, for example, is calming and is said to aid digestion. Once you start you are sure to get hooked, so play around with quantities and flavours to come up with your own unique blend.

Method

  1. 1. All you need to do is boil the kettle, measure out your herbs and steep them for 10 minutes! This recipe makes 3-4 cups of tea.
  2. 2. Just remember steep times do depend upon what herb you’re using. For most tea leaves and flowers, 10 minutes of steeping is perfect, for harder herbs like barks or berries, give it about 20 minutes to steep and if you’re using roots, you’ll need to let that steep for at least 30 minutes.
