Dunnes Stores App and VALUEclub - Terms & Conditions
The promoter of the Dunnes Stores VALUEclub scheme and the operator of the Dunnes Stores App service in the Republic of Ireland is Dunnes Stores, 46-50 South Great George’s St, Dublin 2.
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern the use of the Dunnes Stores App (“service” or “services”) and your Dunnes Stores VALUEclub card, key fob or digital version VALUEclub card barcode (collectively, "Card"), which is the property of the promoter and must be surrendered if so requested.
When these Terms mention “Dunnes Stores,” “promoter”, “we,” “us,” or “our,” it refers to the Dunnes Stores company. If you use our Dunnes Stores App or VALUEclub Card, we will refer to you using the terms “user”, “you”, “your” or “yours” in these Terms.
Please read through these Terms in conjunction with our Website Terms and Privacy Statement prior to using your Dunnes Stores App or VALUEclub Card.
When you use your Dunnes Stores App or VALUEclub Card, you confirm acceptance of our Terms as same may be amended from time to time.
To join the Dunnes Stores VALUEclub scheme you must be resident in the Republic of Ireland and aged 18 years or over. VALUEclub is for personal consumer use only. Use for business transactions or purposes is not permitted. Your Dunnes Stores App or VALUEclub card may only be used in participating outlets within the Dunnes Stores Group [in the Republic of Ireland] or through the Dunnes Stores App or the Dunnes Stores website.
The promoter may refuse to issue a membership account, card, key fob, voucher or points and it reserves the right to terminate or alter the Dunnes Stores VALUEclub scheme, and the Terms of this scheme, for all or particular members, without prior notice. This may include cases where the promoter has a reasonable belief there is any actual or attempted abuse of Dunnes Stores VALUEclub scheme or breach of any of the Terms or for any other perceived misconduct in relation to the scheme or Dunnes Stores, The Promoter’s decision shall be final and binding in all matters regarding the Dunnes Stores VALUEclub scheme.
VALUEclub membership must be registered by creating an account with password in the Dunnes Stores App or online within 12 months of the first use (Click here to create your VALUEclub account online). Failure to do so shall mean that we reserve the right to deactivate the Card and any points contained on the card up to that date may be forfeited. Dunnes Stores shall in no way be liable for the loss of any VALUEclub points or VALUEclub vouchers due to deactivation.
If you have created your VALUEclub account and have not made any purchases for 12 months, we reserve the right to deactivate your membership and/or card, remove your personal details from the scheme and any points earned up to that date may be forfeited. Dunnes Stores shall in no way be liable for the loss of any VALUEclub points or VALUEclub vouchers due to deactivation. You may rejoin the scheme at any time.
The e-mail address and mobile phone number that you provide as your account username cannot be allocated to another account. The email address or mobile phone number provided must be for personal use and must not belong to anyone other than you, and must not be a temporary or ‘throw-away’ contact detail. It is your responsibility to maintain the security of your account and password, Dunnes Stores cannot be held responsible for loss or damage caused by individual unauthorised access to your account. It is your duty to inform us immediately about any unauthorised use of your account and to change your password if you suspect your account has been used by another person(s).
Your Dunnes Stores VALUEclub Card is not a credit, payment or cheque guarantee card.
Printed or digital statements made by the promoter regarding the Dunnes Stores VALUEclub scheme form part of the Terms governing the scheme. Being sent printed or digital Dunnes Stores or VALUEclub Service Notifications to your email, phone (by App notification or SMS) or postal address details provided also form part of the Terms.
The promoter of the Dunnes Stores VALUEclub scheme reserves the right to transfer the operation of the scheme to another company within the Promoter’s group. In such an event the transferee company would then become the Promoter of the scheme.
One point will be awarded for every €1 spent by you in the Republic of Ireland. Points can be earned in store or in the online store. There must be a spend of at least €1 on qualifying products in a single transaction for that transaction to qualify for points. Points awarded in relation to online purchases will exclude delivery charges or any other surcharges.
Your Dunnes Stores App or VALUEclub Card must be presented to the cashier or at self-service checkout when making your purchase, in order for points to be accumulated by you. You must add your VALUEclub number to your dunnestores.com online shopping My Account and to your www.dunnesstoresgrocery.com online grocery shopping account before making an online purchase in order to receive your points.
If you do not have your Dunnes Stores App or VALUEclub Card with you at the time you make your purchase in store then you can bring your receipt to any Customer Service desk within 10 days of your purchase and the points will be added to your account, provided the receipt is valid and belongs to the VALUEclub member and is based on their personal spend. Points may only be claimed for up to two receipts per day. At the discretion of the promoter, further validation checks may be made before points are awarded to the account. Points for online purchases cannot be awarded after purchase.
You will be able to collect points in any participating outlet in the Republic of Ireland only, and within our online store, if you have registered your VALUEclub card number in your dunnestores.com online shopping My Account and in your www.dunnesstoresgrocery.com online grocery shopping account and within the Dunnes Stores App if using the Express Delivery Service.
Points will be deducted for the value of refunds given. Any promotional points earned on the original transaction will also be deducted.
Points cannot be earned in respect of purchases of tobacco products, alcohol (this does not affect non-alcoholic items), medicines, phone cards, lottery products, infant formula products, Deposit Return Scheme deposit fees, vending machine purchases or purchases of gift vouchers, gift cards and saving stamps. Points cannot be earned on delivery charges or other surcharges. Points will not be awarded for items purchased for resale. Other products may be excluded at the discretion of the promoter or by operation of the law.
Points will be accumulated throughout the year and valid points will be converted into your VALUEclub vouchers which will be sent to you if you earn 200 valid points during a collection period. The promoter reserves the right to vary the points collection period, the redemption value of points and the voucher delivery method used.
In order to qualify to receive VALUEclub vouchers you need to have earned a minimum of 200 points during the specified collection period. Once you have earned 200 points you will be entitled to €2 in Dunnes Stores VALUEclub vouchers. For every 100 points accumulated by you after that, you will receive a €1 Dunnes Stores VALUEclub voucher.
Points earned during the specified collection period will be carried forward if there are insufficient points to qualify for a Dunnes Stores VALUEclub vouchers in that collection period. If you have qualified to receive VALUEclub vouchers, any points left over after your vouchers have been issued will be carried forward into the next points collection period.
VALUEclub member benefits and services can include being informed of the opportunity to enter competitions or to earn or be awarded VALUEclub Money off Vouchers or Shop & Save vouchers.
It is your responsibility to ensure all of your personal details are up to date. Including where relevant name, date of birth, email address, postal address and phone number. Your personal details can be accessed and amended using the Dunnes Stores App or online VALUEclub account. (Click here to create your VALUEclub account or log in online).
If vouchers have been sent to you in a VALUEclub mailing and we receive a returned mailing we will not issue another mailing until you contact us to confirm your address details. It is your responsibility to contact us if you have not received VALUEclub vouchers that have been issued to you.
To use the Dunnes Stores app, you must download the software from an app store. Specific software versions are available for different types of mobile phones. For technical reasons it may not be possible to offer a suitable software for some types of devices. If no suitable software is available for your mobile phone you cannot use the services on the relevant device. Due to the continuously changing product offering on the mobile end devices market, Dunnes Stores cannot offer a current list of all mobile phones that are suitable for using the services.
Software installation and using of the services presupposes regular data transfer from the participant’s mobile phone. Volume and frequency of data transfer depend on the type and scale of service use. The connection costs for the data transfer are borne by the Dunnes Stores app user. The volume depends on the contract you have with your relevant mobile provider. The cost to set up an internet connection and its maintenance on user side is not part of the Dunnes Stores service. It is sole responsibility of the contractual arrangement between the user and their internet provider.
The use of the Dunnes Stores app and VALUEclub service also presupposes sufficient battery and screen brightness to scan the digital VALUEclub Card, Vouchers or Coupons during the check-out process.
The Dunnes Stores app user has the obligation to install the updates offered by Dunnes Stores. You will be informed about this while using the software.
Your registered account details can be removed from the scheme at any time if you request it. You can submit a request to [email protected].
These Terms replace all previous versions and are correct as of 24th August 2023 and will be governed by the laws of Ireland and any disputes will be decided by the Irish courts. The promoter reserves the right to change these Terms at any time at its absolute discretion.

VALUEclub vouchers
Dunnes Stores VALUEclub vouchers are valid for use in the Republic of Ireland stores only when presented for personal consumer use with a VALUEclub card bearing the same number. They are not valid on our online shopping site currently.
Dunnes Stores VALUEclub vouchers may be used in stores in the Republic of Ireland for full or part payment for a transaction, no cash change will be given nor can they be exchanged for cash.
Dunnes Stores VALUEclub vouchers may not be used for purchases in respect of tobacco products, gift vouchers, or saving stamps. Other products may be excluded at the discretion of the promoter or by operation of the law. From 11th January 2021 VALUEclub vouchers may not be used for purchases of alcohol items (this does not affect non-alcoholic items).
The promoter reserves the right to reject any voucher if it deems in its sole discretion that it has been forged or otherwise tampered with.
Dunnes Stores VALUEclub vouchers carry an expiry date. Vouchers cannot be used beyond that date and the value will not be reissued to the VALUEclub account.
Lost or Stolen VALUEclub vouchers can only be reissued if they are reported to Dunnes Stores Customer Service before their expiry date and provided they have not been cashed. The reissued vouchers will be included in the next VALUEclub mailing.
